Stratos Grivas
(GRE), GM, 2500
Stratos Grivas was
born in the northern Peloponnese city of Aegion in 1966. He has
achieved all Greek and international chess titles in his career
and has won championships in all the national categories in
which he has participated. His top success was the individual
silver medal in the 33rd Chess Olympiad in 1998. He also has a
gold medal from the National Teams European Championships in
1989. He was the national champion of Greece in 1983 and 1996
and a junior champion in 1981 and 1982. He has competed 186
times with the National Team of Greece and is now a nation al
coach. He has been competing for Kydon since 2000. |
